Can I setup PR Tracker to use a SQL Server 2000 database without having to install PR Tracker itself on the DB Server -- I'd run the server components of PR Tracker on another server. ANSWER: PR-Tracker must be installed on the SQL Server if you want to use PR-Tracker with SQL server. There is no way around it.
