QUESTION: Whenever the PR-Tracker Email Notifier tries to send email, a Microsoft Outlook dialog pops stating that "A program is trying to access email addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this" This is very annoying. Is there anyway to turn this dialog off. Note: If you installed the PR-Tracker Email Notifier to run as a service, the dialog above doesn't appear and no email will be sent out. The Email Notifier just hangs because there is no way for the user to click OK. ANSWER: This message occurs if the Outlook security update has been installed. Micorsoft's intention with this upgrade is to add protection against viruses that are propagated through Outlook. Unfortuanately Microsoft also broke a lot of MAPI applications with this update including the PR-Tracker Email Notifier. There is no way to turn the message off using PR-Tracker. There is also no way to turn off the message through Outlook either. You can download the Outlook Security Features Administrative Package from Microsoft and use it to configure the Outlook security settings.
